Responsibilities
- Data Analysis: Conduct in-depth data analysis to uncover insights, identify trends, and inform strategic decisions.
- Develop user friendly dashboards with complex business metrics. Must build solid understanding of the data sources to write very efficient queries to pull the required data for analysis
- Feature Engineering: Create innovative features from diverse data sources which can be used for deeper analysis and/or model building.
- Model Development: Build and maintain predictive models (e.g., credit risk, propensity, segmentation, attribution) using advanced techniques like CatBoost, LightGBM, Logistic regression, Clustering etc.
- Model Explanation: Effectively communicate model outcomes and insights to business stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding and adoption.
- Collaboration: Work closely with regional teams, including risk, collection, operations, and marketing, to deliver impactful solutions.
- Project Management: Independently manage your own workstream, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project objectives.
Qualifications
- BS/ MS in Computer Science/ Analytics/ Statistics/ Mathematics/ Physics/ other Science or Engineering Disciplines. Post graduation, 2-5 years of relevant Industry Experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation and analysis. Ability to work with large datasets and perform efficient data processing.
- Solid understanding of statistical concepts and methods (e.g., hypothesis testing, regression analysis, probability distributions)
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker, QlikView etc.) to create compelling and informative visualizations.
- Experience in building and deploying predictive models in a financial services context. Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and techniques (e.g., regression, classification, clustering).
- Experience working in a startup environment with a focus on agility, innovation, and problem-solving.
- Background in Risk, collection, operations, or marketing divisions of Financial Services or Retail/ Healthcare or similar B2C company is a plus, as it will provide a unique perspective on business challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. A self-motivated and results-oriented mindset with a strong ability to adapt to changing environments and continuously learn new skills.
- Experience with cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
- A strong understanding of financial concepts and risk management.
- Able to communicate complex concepts persuasively to different audiences and levels within the organization.
- Responsible, self-motivated, must be capable of and enjoy working independently, driving decisions, and having an entrepreneurial mindset.

- Passionate about making a difference in the unbanked segment.
