As the Credit Risk Director at GoTyme Bank, you are taking on a key 2nd line leadership role to manage the relationship between risk and revenue across lending programs. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the credit quality and profitability of the loan portfolio; establish and develop credit, collection, and portfolio review policies that align with the bank’s approved risk appetite; develop risk management and scorecard analytics; ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines; act as the principal spokesperson for the credit risk management function and its strategic posture; and identify, assess, manage, and monitor other key risks that may impact loan portfolio credit quality.

  • Develop relationships and work closely with 1st line business partners in the design, development, and management of lending programs against the bank’s risk appetite.
  • Design acquisitions and customer management credit risk strategies that perform within the bank’s approved KRIs (key risk indicators) and align with BSP regulations.
  • Embed and effectively implement a Credit Risk Management Framework to manage lending programs across the product lifecycle and macroeconomic business cycles.
  • Develop appropriate risk reports and scorecards to monitor and evaluate portfolio credit quality.
  • Oversee regulatory reporting related to BSP obligations on credit risk management.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to enhance the middle- and back-office risk control functions.
  • Stay abreast of industry and economic trends, regulations, and other emerging risks relevant to the bank’s credit exposures—providing regular updates and recommendations to senior management and the Board of Directors
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Extensive experience (10+ years) in credit risk management, credit strategy, product development and data-driven decision making at a top-tier bank or fintech.
  • Strong and proven understanding of financial services, economics, banking, data analytics and statistical modeling techniques.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative risk management strategies and effectively communicate them across the organization.
  • Outstanding leadership and managerial skills, with a track record of building and leading high-performing risk management teams.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage, collaborate, and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
