Filipino e-wallet GCash has introduced a series of new AI-driven features aimed at enhancing the user experience, unveiled at this year’s GCash FutureCast event.
GCash has announced four key additions designed to provide more personalised and accessible financial services.
Among the new features is “Gigi,” an AI-powered digital assistant that helps users navigate GCash’s services and address inquiries.
Gigi can recall past conversations, trigger security measures, and even connect users directly to a live agent when needed.
This enhancement aims to streamline customer support, offering quick, efficient responses while ensuring a more personalised and secure experience.
“Think of Gigi as your personal GCash concierge.
No need to go elsewhere – whether it’s simple or complicated, you can count on Gigi to provide instant answers,”
said Pebbles Sy, Chief Technology and Operations Officer of GCash.
The app also introduced “GCoach AI,” which provides financial advice using generative AI.
This helps users with budgeting, saving, and planning for long-term financial goals, such as building emergency funds and retirement planning.
Another notable feature is “GScore AI,” which calculates users’ credit scores based on their financial activity within the app.
It helps users, especially those with little or no credit history, access loans and better interest rates.
Users can improve their GScore through various activities, such as cashing in regularly, using services like Pay Online or Pay Bills, and frequently investing through GInvest.
In the near future, GScore AI will go beyond just credit scores, offering additional benefits such as priority services and special perks, further enhancing users’ financial opportunities.
Lastly, GCash launched “Hyper Personalised Ads,” a feature that tailors shopping offers based on user behavior and preferences.
The AI analyses users’ spending habits and shopping behavior to create a personalised mix of ads.
It then matches each user with curated shopping recommendations from various partner merchants, ensuring they receive offers and products that align with their preferences and interests.
