Filipinos abroad can now execute international money transfers back home to their families more easily than ever. This is all made possible, thanks to a new partnership between GCash and Ria Money Transfer.
This collaboration allows Filipinos in the U.S., Australia, Singapore, and Europe to send money directly to their loved ones’ GCash accounts, even without a GCash Overseas account. This means faster, more convenient transfers with real-time delivery, lower fees, and competitive exchange rates.
By joining forces with Ria, which has a vast network of over half a million locations in 190 countries, GCash is actively expanding its global reach. This partnership aims to make sending money home more accessible and affordable, ultimately contributing to the Philippine economy.
“We are committed to helping Filipinos worldwide by connecting them with their families back home,” said Paul Albano, GCash International’s General Manager.
He believes that this partnership with Ria strengthens their commitment to providing convenient and accessible financial services for all.
Steve Peregrino, Ria’s Regional Director of Business Development, echoed this sentiment.
“Our shared goal is to bridge the distance between Filipinos across the globe and simplify their financial transactions,” he said.
This initiative not only benefits individuals but also strengthens the Philippine economy. Remittances play a crucial role, contributing significantly to the country’s GDP. GCash recognises this impact and aims to empower Filipinos both at home and abroad through accessible financial services.
This partnership is GCash’s dedication towards financial inclusion. The company wants to ensure that Filipinos everywhere have the tools they need to thrive and achieve their dreams.
