Google Cloud has announced the appointment of Jennifer Ligones as the new Country Manager for its Philippines operations.

In this role, Jennifer will oversee the local go-to-market strategy and operations for both Google Cloud and Google Workspace. Her responsibilities will also include collaborating with other Google teams to support organisations in their digital transformation using AI-powered cloud technology.

Jennifer will report to Mark Micallef, Managing Director for Southeast Asia at Google Cloud, who supervises the enterprise, public sector, and corporate business segments across the region.

Prior to joining Google Cloud, Jennifer founded Third Pillar in 2013, an IT consultancy and services company, where she served as President and CEO. Her 30-year career in the information technology industry also includes leadership positions at SAP, SAS, and IBM.

Mark Micallef commented on the appointment of the new Google Cloud Country Manager for the Philippines, noting that Jennifer joins Google Cloud “at an exciting phase of Google Cloud’s growth in the Philippines”.

He highlighted Google Cloud’s work with various government agencies and its readiness to support the Philippines’ National AI Strategy. Mark expressed confidence that Jennifer’s experience would be “pivotal in advancing our local private and public sector engagements”.

Jennifer Ligones said, “I look forward to expanding our local team and partner ecosystem to advance Google Cloud’s growth ambitions in the Philippines.” She added, “Our goal is to drive deeper understanding and adoption of unique Google Cloud capabilities that address companies’ full spectrum of AI innovation needs.”

Google Cloud recently introduced Gemini 2.5 Flash, Gemini 2.5 Pro, and Veo 3 models on Vertex AI, and launched a generative AI certification for non-technical learners. Organisations in the Philippines, including Alfamart, Globe Telecom, PLDT, and SM Supermalls, are among those utilising Google Cloud services.
