Rizal Commercial Banking Corp. (RCBC) and Capital A’s AirAsia rewards have partnered to launch the new AirAsia Platinum Credit Card, offering a range of travel-focused benefits. The launch also includes enhancements to the partnership’s existing classic credit card variant.
The new platinum card provides travel insurance coverage of up to PHP 5 million for incidents such as accidents, trip disruptions, and baggage delays. Cardholders are also entitled to a preferential foreign exchange conversion fee of 1.85% on international purchases, both in-store and online.
Other benefits include free access for the principal cardholder to the PAGSS International Lounge at NAIA Terminal 1 and automatic AirAsia Platinum membership for the first year, which provides priority check-in, boarding, and express baggage on AirAsia flights.
Cardholders can earn AirAsia points on their spending, with different rates for local, overseas, and in-app purchases. New cardholders receive a welcome bonus of 15,000 points.

Arniel Vincent B. Ong, President and CEO of RCBC Credit Cards, said the new card is “designed to integrate travel and lifestyle benefits seamlessly.” He added that “earning and redeeming points [is] easy for flights, hotel stays, and various lifestyle rewards.”
With the rollout of the new platinum card, RCBC and AirAsia also upgraded the seven-year-old classic variant.
Its benefits now include a lower foreign exchange fee of 2.5% and a new monthly bonus of 300 AirAsia points for frequent use.
