In response to updated regulations from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), identity solutions provider HID is introducing a new line of FIDO-certified credentials designed to help organisations in the Philippines adopt passwordless authentication.
Under the Anti-Financial Account Scamming Act (AFASA), the BSP now requires financial institutions to implement stronger, phishing-resistant authentication methods by 25 June 2026.
HID’s new offerings aim to help organisations deploy and manage passkeys at an enterprise scale. This includes a subscription-based solution called Enterprise Passkey Management (EPM), which allows for remote provisioning and full lifecycle management of FIDO credentials.

“Passwordless authentication is no longer optional—it is now a regulatory requirement in the Philippines,” said Sean Dyon, Vice President & Head of the Authentication Business Unit at HID.
“Our next-generation FIDO portfolio gives Philippine enterprises the hardware diversity and centralised management capabilities needed to deploy and manage passkeys at scale”.
The company has also updated its hardware portfolio, which includes redesigned Crescendo Keys and Crescendo Cards.
The cards can combine physical access to facilities with passwordless digital authentication in a single credential. The portfolio also includes a new contactless FIDO reader for workstations.
