GCash is collaborating with ten universities in the Philippines for a series of financial literacy boot camps aimed at students.
The programme, titled “The GMindset: Gear Up Your Financial Game,” aims to equip students with the knowledge to build long-term saving and investing habits.
GCash has confirmed partnerships with seven institutions, including the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP), Far Eastern University (FEU), Adamson University (ADU), the University of the Philippines, Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU), and Centro Escolar University, Manila (CEU).
The first two bootcamps, held at PUP and FEU, attracted nearly five hundred students.
The sessions include lessons on financial goal-setting and savings, as well as more advanced topics like investment psychology.
John Garcia, Head of Customer Success for Wealth Management at GCash, commented on the programme’s goal.

“Many young Filipinos are eager to learn how to manage their money but don’t always have access to the right platforms and guidance,” he said. “By making financial literacy more engaging and accessible, we want to help the next generation of young Filipinos build the confidence to save and invest.”
On-site activities include assistance with registering for GCash services like GSave and GInvest.
The boot camp series will visit Adamson University on September 9, the University of the Philippines Clark on September 19, Ateneo de Manila University on September 20, and Centro Escolar University Manila on September 24. GCash will announce more dates for the series soon.
