Sunline and Huawei to Provide Core Banking and Cloud Tech for City Savings
The partnership, announced at Huawei Connect 2025, will see Huawei provide its cloud infrastructure while Sunline will contribute its expertise in core banking systems.

Sunline, Huawei, and the Philippines’ City Savings Bank have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to accelerate the bank’s digital transformation. The agreement was signed at the Huawei Connect 2025 event, which was themed “Elevating Industry Intelligence”.
Through the partnership, the three parties aim to build a next-generation digital banking service system for CitySavings.
The collaboration will leverage the strengths of each company.
Huawei will provide its cloud infrastructure and ICT capabilities. Sunline will contribute its expertise in core banking systems and digital financial solutions. Lastly, CitySavings will bring its market presence in inclusive finance.

“Through shared resources and complementary strengths, we believe CitySavings will achieve new breakthroughs on its digital transformation journey,” Zhou said.
This agreement extends an existing partnership between Sunline and Huawei. The two companies have previously collaborated on a banking core system that runs on Huawei’s Kunpeng servers.
At the event, Sunline showcased several of its financial technology solutions, including its distributed core banking solution and an intelligent data platform.
At Huawei Connect 2025, Huawei also awarded Sunline its Global Excellent Industry Solution Partner award in recognition of their joint innovation work.
Through the new MOU with CitySavings, the three parties intend to set a benchmark for cross-border financial technology cooperation in the Philippines’ financial industry.
