BDO Unibank, Inc. has joined forces with impact organisation HOPE to introduce the BDO HOPE Mastercard. The co-branded instrument aims to provide funding for education and sustainability projects.
Officially introduced on 3 December 2025, the card seeks to transform routine purchases into social impact. It directs financial support from daily spending toward the construction of public school classrooms in the Philippines.
Under the partnership, BDO has committed to contributing directly to the cause. For every PHP 1,000 of qualified spending made by cardholders, the bank will donate PHP 5 to HOPE.
Furthermore, BDO will allocate a portion of the card’s annual membership fees to support HOPE’s broader education and community programmes.
Ma. Nannette R. Regala, BDO Senior Vice President and Consumer Banking Group Marketing Head, emphasised the bank’s focus on youth education.

“Every spend contributes to building more public classrooms for the Filipino youth. Through this partnership, we look forward to empowering more communities and spreading HOPE in Every Spend,” Regala said.
To align with environmental sustainability goals, BDO manufactures the physical cards using 100% recycled plastic.
This feature supports HOPE’s status as a net-zero plastic-waste brand and integrates with BDO’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) commitments.
The card also features a 1.85% foreign exchange conversion fee.
Nanette Medved-Po, Founder and Executive Chairperson of HOPE, noted that the collaboration allows individuals to participate in national development through routine transactions.

“What’s so exciting about this is that people can nation-build just by using their credit card,” Medved-Po stated, adding that partnering with the country’s largest bank maximises the potential for social impact.
Customers applying for the card by 31 December 2025 are eligible for a PHP 10,000 welcome cashback upon reaching a minimum spend of PHP 50,000.
