Aiming to rebuild community trust and foster stronger ties with the public sector, the Blockchain Council of the Philippines (BCP) has initiated a major organisational shift for 2026, as reported by BitPinas.
The advocacy group’s strategic direction will now be steered by Luis Buenaventura, who takes over the presidency from Donald Lim.
Lim, who guided the Blockchain Council Philippines through its formative years, will remain on the board and transition into the role of Chairman.
Emphasising the need for an open operational approach, the incoming President outlined his immediate priorities.
He indicated that the public should expect numerous structural changes and announcements over the coming months. A primary objective for the new leadership is to mend and strengthen industry relationships.
The leadership handover brings a recognised digital asset veteran to the helm.
Currently directing the cryptocurrency division at GCash, Buenaventura’s background includes co-founding the early licensed exchange BloomX and managing the local branch of Yield Guild Games.
