Maya has introduced a new feature called Mini Payments to allow credit card users to convert eligible purchases into a monthly instalment plan, as per InsiderPH.
The financial service reflects growing consumer demand for greater flexibility when managing larger purchases and household budgets.
Cardholders can split qualifying transactions into up to 12 monthly payments at a fixed 1% monthly interest rate.
The new tool caters specifically to Maya Black Credit Card and Landers Cashback Everywhere Credit Card holders.
Users can convert eligible posted purchases into a monthly payment plan directly within the mobile application.
The feature enables consumers to decide whether to spread their payments over several months after completing a purchase.
Customers can select payment plans spanning three, six, nine, or 12 months, regardless of the term length.
The company stated that administrators can complete approvals within 24 hours.
Users can also monitor their payment schedules and outstanding balances directly through the digital application.
The platform requires a minimum converted amount of PHP 3000 for a three-month plan and PHP 6000 for a six-month term.
Customers must consolidate at least PHP 9000 for a nine-month plan and PHP 12000 for a full 12-month period.
The system does not require a minimum amount per transaction, so users can combine multiple eligible purchases to meet their preferred threshold.
Cardholders gain greater flexibility because they can make repayment decisions after the system posts their purchases.
This eliminates the need for consumers to wait for special promotions or transact directly with partner merchants.
The company will waive processing fees for any plans created through 30 September 2026 as a promotional incentive.
Consumers simply need to select an eligible posted transaction in the application and choose their preferred repayment term.
The system then allows them to review the monthly payment amount and total interest before confirming the schedule.
