du Pay, the digital financial services arm of UAE telecom operator du, has launched instant wallet-to-wallet transfers to GCash accounts in the Philippines.
The offering specifically targets Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) in the UAE who are sending money home.
Customers can easily register for the service using their mobile number and Emirates ID. They can then send funds to any GCash wallet around the clock with no delays.
Transfers run on a regulated platform, with du Pay offering competitive foreign exchange rates and low fees. The Central Bank of the UAE fully licenses the payment provider.
For a limited campaign period, du Pay customers sending money to GCash wallets will receive added incentives. It includes weekly cash prizes, alongside the standard transfer.

“No Filipino should be left behind, whether at home or thousands of miles away,” said Arjun Varma, General Manager for GCash International.
Varma said the partnership lets OFWs in the UAE send money home with confidence that it will be usable immediately across GCash’s services.
du Pay chief executive Roberto Mancone said the tie-up reflects the company’s commitment to the UAE’s Filipino community.
He described GCash as a fellow telco-rooted fintech and called the partnership a natural extension of du Pay’s work in cross-border payments.
In 2024, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas reported a record-breaking US$38 billion in OFW remittances.
Alongside this growth, GCash has steadily expanded its network of international transfer partners over recent years.
These partners include Western Union, Visa Direct, and Taptap Send. All of which were already serving UAE-based OFWs prior to the new du Pay agreement.
As a subsidiary of Mynt, the Philippines’ first $5 billion unicorn, G-Xchange runs GCash’s mobile wallet operations.
Filipino residents in the UAE can access the service by downloading or updating the du Pay app on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
