DITO BizBayan and GCash for Business have partnered to offer Filipino MSMEs discounted merchant fees bundled with business connectivity, as reported by ABS-CBN News.
The offering pairs DITO’s WoWFi Optima device, which provides 5G business connectivity, with GCash SoundPay, a device that audibly confirms successful payments in real time.
Merchants who purchase a WoWFi Optima device gain access to a lower GCash for Business merchant discount rate (MDR).
Bundle subscribers pay 0.6% on e-wallet transactions, down from GCash’s standard 1.0% rate. To add, the card payment processing fees have also dropped to 2.8%.
SoundPay is designed to solve a common pain point for small merchants. It helps by verifying GCash payments has typically rely on customers showing a screenshot or confirmation screen.
As a result, it has slowed down transactions and created queues.
With SoundPay, the device announces completed payments audibly, letting merchants confirm receipt without checking their phones.

“Digital transformation should be practical and accessible for every Filipino entrepreneur,” said Adel Tamano, Chief Commercial Officer of DITO Telecommunity.
Gabby Cui, Head of DITO BizBayan, said the partnership helps MSMEs serve customers faster and operate with more confidence through reliable connectivity and better payment tools.
The companies launched the bundle through an experiential event rather than a standard product demonstration, inviting media and partners to make real purchases using WoWFi Optima and GCash SoundPay.
In partnership with South Trading Post, 20 local merchants set up a mock MSME marketplace at the launch venue. It lets guests test the integrated payment and connectivity setup directly.
The partnership adds to a string of MSME-focused initiatives from both companies.
DITO Telecommunity launched its BizBayani Awards in June to recognise Filipino MSME entrepreneurs. GCash has also run its own Wais Tindera Caravan financial literacy program for micro and nano entrepreneurs nationwide.
