BPI has partnered with Green GSM, the Philippines’ all-electric taxi service powered by VinFast vehicles, to let clients pay for rides directly through their BPI accounts.

Users link their BPI account within the Green GSM app, select BPI as their preferred payment method, and can then book and pay for rides cashless.

“At BPI, sustainability is truly integrated into the way we do business,” said Eric Luchangco, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Sustainability Officer at the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI).

He said the partnership makes sustainable mobility more accessible and convenient for clients, framing each ride booked with Green GSM as a simple but meaningful contribution to a more sustainable future.

As part of the partnership, BPI and Green GSM ran a promotional period from 1 June to 31 July 2026, during which clients earned 20 GSM Green Points per eligible ride paid through a linked BPI account, redeemable for discounts on future trips.

Part of a Broader VinFast-Green GSM Banking Push

Green GSM operates the Philippines’ first all-electric taxi fleet, using VinFast vehicles exclusively.

BPI’s payment integration sits separately from a larger financing partnership BDO Unibank signed with VinFast Philippines, V-Green, and Green GSM in September 2025, covering cash management, leasing, insurance, and EV charging infrastructure across SM Supermalls to help scale EV adoption nationwide.
