Coins.ph has integrated Tempo, the payments-first Layer 1 blockchain incubated by Stripe and Paradigm, giving users multi-chain deposit and withdrawal capabilities for Tether (USDT) and USD Coin (USDC) starting 9 August.
The integration expands Coins.ph’s multi-chain architecture, aiming to meet growing demand for faster, cheaper stablecoin transfers across retail payments, business disbursements, and remittances.
Tempo is an Ethereum-compatible Layer 1 blockchain built specifically for stablecoin payments, using dedicated payment lanes to keep financial transfers isolated from congestion-heavy activity like NFT minting or high-frequency trading.
The network settles transactions in roughly half a second and lets users pay gas fees directly in stablecoins like USDT or USDC, rather than requiring a separate volatile token. Tempo also runs protocol-level know-your-transaction compliance and sanctions screening.

“As stablecoins rapidly become the default rail for cross-border commerce and remittances, users need infrastructure that delivers instant, reliable, and cost-effective settlement,” said Christine Lim, Global BD Director for Crypto at Coins.ph.
She said the integration brings enterprise-grade stablecoin rails to Coins.ph’s user base, supporting USDT and USDC on Tempo through its canonical USDT0 and USDC.e formats.
Josh Itzkovitz, GTM at Tempo, said Coins.ph’s trust and distribution across the Philippines made it a natural partner for bringing Tempo’s sub-second finality and native stablecoin gas features to everyday users, aiming to make cross-border stablecoin transfers “invisible, instant, and frictionless.”
Coins.ph said the low-latency, predictable-cost network suits cross-border remittances into markets like the Philippines, as well as corporate payroll and batch payouts, and instant settlement for e-commerce and B2B merchants without chargebacks or reversals.
Built by Stripe and Paradigm
Tempo launched on mainnet in March 2026 after Stripe and Paradigm unveiled the project in September 2025, with design input from companies including Visa, Shopify, Deutsche Bank, and OpenAI.
The network raised $500 million in a round valuing it at $5 billion, and added Stripe, Visa, and Zodia Custody as its first external validators shortly after launch.
The integration adds to Coins.ph’s own stablecoin work in the Philippines.
