Billease has doubled its credit facility with Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC) to PHP 1 billion, a year after the two institutions began their lending relationship with an initial PHP 500 million facility.
The expanded, one-year partnership now extends beyond term lending into corporate cash management, savings (CASA) and foreign exchange services.
The facility is among the first in the Philippines to use the Personal Property Security Registry (PPSR).
This is the centralised movable-asset registry launched by the Land Registration Authority under the Personal Property Security Act.
It creates a registered, perfected security interest over Billease’s consumer loan receivables.
This gives RCBC an enforceable, first-ranking claim over a granular pool of assets.
The release describes this as a template for how Philippine banks can lend against fintech receivables with institutional-grade confidence.
The security package includes over-collateralised loan-to-value structures, a periodically refreshed collateral pool, and a clearly defined payment waterfall.
Garret Go
“Doubling our facility with RCBC within a year and broadening it well beyond lending into cash management and FX reflects the kind of confidence that only comes from a track record both sides can underwrite,” said Garret Go, CFO of Billease.
It Follows A Strong Fiscal Year
The expanded facility follows a strong fiscal year for Billease.
On an audited consolidated basis, the company grew FY2025 revenue by more than 80% to PHP 8.7 billion. It posted a net profit of PHP 750 million, marking its third consecutive profitable year.
Its loan portfolio grew more than 75% to approximately PHP 11.3 billion. Total assets reached PHP 13.3 billion. The platform now onboards more than 150,000 new customers monthly.
As of December 31, 2025, Billease held total equity of approximately PHP 5.6 billion against total borrowings of PHP 6.7 billion. This gives the company a debt-to-equity ratio of roughly 1x.
Georg Steiger
“We don’t view 2025 as a peak, we view it as evidence that the platform works, and that there is significant underlying demand for affordable, well-structured credit in this country,” said Georg Steiger, CEO and Co-Founder of Billease.
It also complements Billease’s entry into regulated banking following its acquisition of the Rural Bank of Sta. Maria, which is expected to expand its deposit-taking capabilities.
