GCash has partnered with Superama, a homegrown supermarket chain with multiple branches in Cotabato City, to make everyday essentials more accessible for local families through cashless payments.
Superama customers can now pay for groceries and daily needs using GCash instead of cash or standing in ATM lines.
Beyond payments, the partnership gives Superama customers access to GCredit and GGives, GCash’s credit line and instalment facilities, for added flexibility when shopping.
GCash said the collaboration also helps Superama streamline its own operations while better serving its community.
The deal adds to GCash’s broader push into Mindanao and the wider Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
GCash has previously partnered with BARMM’s Ministry of Human Settlements and Development to enable cashless payments for housing and settlement services, and separately with the Cotabato City local government since May 2024 for local tax and fee payments.
It’s a part of a broader effort to digitise government and community payments across the region.
