Visa has expanded its Visa Infinite card lineup in the Philippines, adding two new tiers aimed at the country’s growing affluent segment, BusinessWorld told.
Spending on affluent cards in the Philippines rose 49% over a six-month period as of April 2026, Visa said, citing internal data.

“In a consumption-driven economy such as the Philippines, payments continue to shape how people dine, travel, shop, and pursue their passions. The modern Filipino affluent is evolving to seek more intentional and globally-connected experiences, prioritising personalisation and meaning over traditional signals of status,” said Jeffrey V. Navarro, Visa Philippines Country Manager.
He added that the country’s affluent card base is expected to grow fivefold in the coming years.
The refresh adds Visa Infinite Privilege and Visa Infinite Private alongside the existing Visa Infinite tier.
Visa Infinite Privilege builds on the base tier with broader access and more curated experiences, while Visa Infinite Private is invitation-only, designed for ultra-high-net-worth individuals with bespoke services and access to rare, highly personalised experiences.
All three tiers run on Visa’s intelligent payments infrastructure, including higher transaction limits, smart authorisation, cross-border issuance and always-on security.
This builds on a regional refresh Visa unveiled across Asia-Pacific in July 2026, when T.R. Ramachandran, Visa’s Head of Products & Solutions for Asia Pacific, said the updated lineup reflects a shift toward more “intentional and globally connected experiences” among affluent consumers.
Visa forecasts affluent households across the region will grow at an 8% compound annual rate through 2030, with Asia-Pacific home to nearly 31% of the world’s ultra-high-net-worth population.
Some regional banks have already begun rolling out the refreshed tiers.
UOB upgraded more than 300,000 Visa Infinite cardholders across ASEAN to the new tiers starting in July, while Malaysia’s Hong Leong Bank used the Visa Infinite Privilege tier for its newly launched HLB opus card.
