GCash parent Mynt could secure US$70 million from the International Finance Corporation (IFC) ahead of its planned Philippine IPO.
BusinessWorld reported that IFC plans to participate as a cornerstone investor by acquiring Mynt common shares from its own account, with the proposed commitment valued at about PHP 4.4 billion.
The investment, known as Project Hiraya, remains subject to approval.
Mynt has since secured approvals from the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Philippine Stock Exchange for the planned offering.
The company will list on the PSE Main Board under the ticker GCASH.
The offering covers up to 8.03 billion firm shares, with an additional 1.20 billion secondary shares available through an overallotment option.
Mynt is targeting an October 20 market debut after an October 6 to 12 offer period, with shares priced at up to PHP 10 each.
Proceeds from the primary shares will support its digital financial services business, including CreditTech operations through Fuse Financing, alongside product development and other corporate purposes.
GCash averaged 41.5 million monthly active users during the three months to June 2026, representing roughly 56% of Filipino adults.
