Payments through QR Ph and InstaPay on Xendit’s platform nearly tripled between January 2025 and April 2026, according to a report from the payments infrastructure company, GMA News reported.
The two channels grew 198% over the period and now make up about 13% of e-commerce payment value in Xendit’s data, based on its Ecommerce Payments Momentum Report.
QR Ph is the national QR code standard and InstaPay is the real-time fund transfer service, both part of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas’ (BSP) national retail payment system.
Cash On Delivery Holds On
Cash on delivery still accounts for about 23% of e-commerce value in the Philippines, the highest of the six Southeast Asian markets in the study. Vietnam came second at around 16%.
About a third of Filipino respondents said they use cash on delivery much less than a year ago. However, 12% said nothing would make them switch, roughly twice the share in most other markets.
Missing Payment Options Cost Sales
Some 41% of Filipino shoppers said a missing payment option was the main reason they abandoned an online purchase in the past three months.
It was also the top reason in Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam and Thailand.

“If people can’t find the option they use, or don’t trust the checkout, they leave,” said Xendit President Nazim Ali.
Fraud is not yet a top worry for most businesses. Only 8% of business leaders ranked it among their top two payment concerns, though 48% expect it to be one within five years.
The report draws on a survey of 1,000 Filipino online shoppers, part of a wider survey of 6,000 respondents across six Southeast Asian markets, along with Xendit’s transaction data.
