Manny Pay has denied that it is shutting down, saying a new version of its app will launch next month, Manila Standard reported.
The statement followed an advisory telling users that changes to their existing accounts take effect on 10 November.
“Manny Pay is not closing,” the company said in a statement to customers and partners.
It added that the update is meant to prepare the platform for its next phase and would not affect users’ accounts or transactions, according to Gizguide.
What the Advisory Says
The advisory on Manny Pay’s website recommends that users spend or transfer their remaining balances before 10 November.
Any balance left after that date will be converted into a Traxion Pay account, accessible through the Traxion Pay app.
Manny Pay will handle transition concerns until 10 November.
After that, Traxion Pay Inc. will handle all account-related inquiries and complaints.
Users who want to use the new Manny Pay platform may need to register separately once it launches.
The company’s statement did not address the advisory or explain what will happen to existing balances, as Gizguide pointed out.
Manny Pay’s First Year
Manny Pay launched in November 2025 under 7th Pillar Integrated System Corp., a technology firm chaired by former senator Manny Pacquiao.
Its e-wallet runs on Traxion Pay’s technology, and the company registered with the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) as an operator of payment system in April, BitPinas reported.
The app has passed 500,000 downloads on Google Play, but the company has not disclosed active users or transaction volumes.
