UnionBank & ATRAM Partners to Enhance Financial Services
The partnership involves UnionBank acquiring a 27.5% stake in ATR Asset Management, Inc. (AAMI), while AAMI simultaneously acquires UnionBank’s trust subsidiary, UnionBank Investment Management and Trust Corporation (UBIMTC).
The collaboration between Union Bank and ATRAM, initially announced in November 2024, involves UnionBank acquiring a 27.5% ownership stake in ATR Asset Management, Inc. (AAMI). Concurrently, AAMI will acquire 100% of UnionBank’s trust subsidiary, UnionBank Investment Management and Trust Corporation (UBIMTC).
These transactions are expected to lead to the merger of AAMI’s trust subsidiary, ATRAM Trust Corp (ATC), and UBIMTC, which will result in the formation of the fourth-largest private asset management firm in the Philippines.

The partnership aims to develop investment solutions by combining UnionBank’s digital capabilities and ATRAM’s asset management experience. The partnership intends to make wealth management more personalised and accessible for clients.
According to Ana Maria Aboitiz Delgado, UnionBank President and CEO, the partnership is a step towards combining digital leadership with investment expertise to create accessible wealth solutions.

The partnership will impact asset and wealth management in the Philippines through innovation and digital leadership. ATRAM and UnionBank are working together to expand financial possibilities.
