Global financial technology firm Revolut appears to be gearing up for its official market launch in the Philippines after opening an early access waitlist for local users, although the company has not yet confirmed when the rollout will begin.
As of publication, Revolut is not listed under the Digital Banks (DGBs) section of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas’ Directory of Banks and Non-Bank Financial Institutions.
Neither Revolut nor the BSP has also announced any official launch date or licensing approval.
The activation of the waitlist signals that the digital banking platform is accelerating its expansion efforts across Southeast Asia.
This development follows a series of strategic moves by the company to establish a strong foundation in the local market.
Revolut recently appointed former GoTyme Bank Co Chief Executive Officer Albert Tinio as its Chief Executive Officer Designate to lead the local expansion.
The firm also previously announced the establishment of a new global technology hub in Manila to support its wider regional operations.
Interested users can secure a spot on the waitlist by downloading the official application from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
Customers must initiate the registration process using a valid local mobile number and select their country of residence when prompted.
The application will then display a confirmation message indicating that the platform is close to rolling out its services.
Users who complete these registration steps will secure priority access when the financial technology firm fully deploys its services in the country.
