Maybank, OmniPay Launch QRPay to Power QRPh Collections in the Philippines
The QRPh-enabled tool lets businesses accept payments from any participating bank or e-wallet through a single code, extending Maybank's cash management suite.
The tool lets merchants accept payments from any participating bank or e-wallet through a single QR code. It folds into Maybank’s existing Cash Management Services Collection Suite.
QRPay operates on the OmniPay infrastructure to streamline merchant collections and consolidate multiple checkout QR codes into a single display.
Felino James Marcelo, President and Chief Executive Officer of Maybank Philippines, stated the platform helps businesses process cashless transactions efficiently and reach a wider digital consumer base.

“Through our partnership with OmniPay, we are launching QRPay to help businesses collect payments more efficiently, expand their reach, and deliver greater convenience to their customers,” he said.
Marcelo added that the tie-up supports the country’s broader push towards QRPh adoption and a less cash-reliant economy, and that it reflects “our purpose of Humanising Financial Services.”
Representing OmniPay at the signing were chairman Renato C. Valencia and chief operating officer Anna Liza E. Alincastre.
QRPay builds on QRPh, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas’ interoperable national QR code standard that lets a single code work across any participating bank or e-wallet.
OmniPay describes itself as one of the pioneers of the Philippines’ electronic payments industry.
Maybank Philippines said the partnership adds to its Cash Management Services Collection Suite, supporting businesses’ broader shift toward cashless collections.
