GCash has partnered with KwikCare to offer health maintenance organisation (HMO) coverage directly through its app, as reported by Manila Standard, marking the first such offering available on the platform.
The plan is distributed through GInsure, GCash’s in-app insurance platform, as a flexible monthly subscription rather than a traditional annual policy.
Plans start at PHP 995 a month and require no large upfront costs or lengthy paperwork, with sign-up taking a few minutes.
Subscribers get cashless access to more than 2,000 accredited healthcare providers nationwide, covering inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and laboratory services, with benefits of up to PHP 350,000 and personal accident coverage of up to PHP 1 million.
Users can add family members to their plan.

“Filipinos deserve the peace of mind that comes with reliable health coverage,” framing the partnership as a way to protect both health and financial stability.
KwikCare CEO Hamilton Angluben said the tie-up expands the company’s reach, adding that “digital distribution is one of the most powerful ways to expand healthcare access.”
A Fast-Growing but Underserved Market
The Philippines’ HMO industry has been growing quickly, with profit quadrupling to PHP 3.99 billion in 2025 from PHP 997 million in 2024, on a 25% rise in revenue to PHP 101.56 billion, according to the Insurance Commission.
Despite that growth, research cited by KwikCare shows 64% of Filipino families cannot afford a PHP 10,000 hospital bill without going into debt.
Medical emergencies also account for 40% of loans that overseas Filipino workers take out.
