The collaboration formally launched on 4 August at the BSP Head Office in Manila. It plans to bring content from BSP’s financial education platform, PisoLit, to KKB’s community.
KKB is an online community focused on discussions around responsible credit card use, scam prevention, and everyday financial concerns.
Through the partnership, BSP and KKB will jointly develop and feature educational content.
The content will cover budgeting, saving, responsible credit use, scam awareness, cybersecurity, and consumer protection, the same topics PisoLit already covers.
BSP Deputy Governor Bernadette Romulo-Puyat said the goal is to help Filipinos understand how financial products work and manage risks.
She added that this works best through platforms where they’re already having conversations.
KKB Co-Founder and CEO Joel Khristopher Cabugos said the partnership reflects a belief in community-driven empowerment.

“The best way to empower people is through the community itself,” he said.
“We will co-develop content for social media that both of us will co-share,” she said, adding that the partnership will also include joint learning sessions across different channels.
Addressing a Persistent Literacy Gap
The partnership adds to a series of financial education pushes BSP has run in recent years.
In 2024, BSP launched e-learning modules with the BDO Foundation covering financial planning, budgeting, and debt management.
Alongside this, it signed partnership agreements with the Department of Social Welfare and Development and the Department of Agriculture, aimed at reaching over 10.8 million Filipino farmers and fisherfolk.
BSP has previously cited survey data showing only 1% of Filipino adults correctly answered basic financial literacy questions, with the Philippines ranking in the bottom 30 of 144 countries in a global financial literacy study.
