“Our customers require payment options that fit how they operate. Whether that means walking into a nearby bank branch or settling payment online after business hours, EastWest Bank’s facility gives them that reach,” said SAFC President and CEO Maricel D. Dejongoy. “As we grow our branch network, our payment infrastructure has to keep pace.”
Under the agreement, EastWest’s Bills Collect facility accepts cash and check payments from SAFC customers and credits them directly to the company’s designated account.
SAFC also gets access to an online portal for monitoring collections and viewing consolidated reports.
Ruth G. Co, EastWest Bank Sector 1 Head for Corporate Banking Group, said the bank is glad to support SAFC in making payments more accessible for its customers.
She added that EastWest’s facilities help ensure collections reach SAFC efficiently, no matter where its borrowers are located.
SAFC separately adopted EastWest’s BIZENTERPRISE, a web-based platform designed to simplify check processing and improve payment management efficiency.
The EastWest partnership follows a similar cash management deal SAFC signed with BDO Unibank in July 2026, giving it access to more than 1,600 BDO branches nationwide.
It also comes weeks after the company partnered with AI Rudder to strengthen its collections operations using conversational AI, as part of a broader push to modernise its payment and collections infrastructure.
