Ria Money Transfer is expanding its Outbound Service in the Philippines, working with M Lhuillier Financial Services to offer the service across its more than 3,000 branches nationwide, according to Ria Philippines’ President and CEO, Steve Peregrino’s LinkedIn post.
The service lets Filipinos in the Philippines send money abroad, reversing the inbound remittance flow that made Ria’s name in the country.
Through the Outbound Service, senders can reach 200 countries and territories, with access to more than 600,000 agent locations, over 4 billion bank accounts, and more than 3 billion e-wallets worldwide, per Ria’s own network figures.
The expansion builds on Ria’s existing footprint in the Philippines.
The company partnered with GCash in early 2025 to simplify inbound international money transfers, letting Filipinos abroad send money directly to recipients’ GCash accounts.
M Lhuillier has also served as one of Ria’s cash pickup partners for inbound transfers, alongside Palawan Pawnshop and Cebuana Lhuillier, before this latest expansion into outbound service specifically.
Euronet Worldwide acquired Ria Money Transfer in April 2007. Ria began in 1987 as a single storefront in New York City and has since grown into one of the world’s largest money transfer networks.
