Isiah Sison has joined Salmon Bank (Rural Bank) as Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), he announced in a LinkedIn post.
In the post, Sison said AI and emerging technologies are changing security threats quickly. He said the goal is to test early, adapt quickly and build defences that keep learning.
He added that he looks forward to working with the Salmon team to keep the bank and its customers secure as it grows.
The Bank’s Recent Growth
Salmon Bank, formerly the Rural Bank of Sta. Rosa (Laguna), is controlled by fintech company Salmon Group, Philstar reported.
The bank more than doubled its client base in 2025, driven largely by demand for its 8% time deposit. In March, it received a PHP 400 million capital injection from its parent, lifting total equity capital to PHP 1.6 billion, according to Fintech News Philippines.
Salmon Group counts the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and Abu Dhabi-based Lunate among its investors, having raised US$30 million in a Series A-2 round led by existing shareholders.
