Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC) and Electronic Transfer & Advance Processing Inc (eTap Inc) have formed a partnership to advance “phygital” banking services in the country. This collaboration aims to bridge digital convenience with physical access for users.
Through this agreement, RCBC DiskarTech users can now deposit cash at over 3,000 eTap self-service machines located nationwide. These machines stand in various accessible locations, including convenience stores, supermarkets, pharmacies, and bakeries.
The partnership reinforces RCBC’s commitment to inclusive banking, integrating digital solutions into everyday touchpoints. This brings financial services closer to communities across the Philippines.

“RCBC has long championed a phygital strategy – combining physical reach with digital innovation – to serve the evolving needs of Filipinos”. He added, “This partnership with eTap strengthens our ‘high-tech, high-touch’ approach, ensuring that even the most remote communities can access inclusive, secure, and user-friendly financial services through DiskarTech.”
Through this collaboration, DiskarTech users can seamlessly add funds to their accounts via eTap terminals. It aims for more convenient, efficient, and secure financial transactions.
By embedding digital capabilities within a wide physical network, the initiative supports the increasing demand for services that combine online access with real-world availability.
DiskarTech is described as a financial inclusion application available in Taglish and Cebuano. It allows Filipinos to open a digital bank account using a single government-issued ID and a Philippine mobile number.
Once registered, users can access a range of services including withdrawals, deposits, bill payments, mobile load, remittances, bank transfers, loan and credit applications, QR payments, and government aid disbursements.
Marlon Portugal, eTap Inc. President, said that this partnership is not just about merging technologies, but more about empowering financial inclusion by creating a seamless bridge between physical cash and digital transactions that every Filipino deserves.
“This means more convenient, secure, and efficient transactions for Diskartech clients, whether they’re cashing in, withdrawing, or making other payment transactions,” Marlon said.
RCBC held the signing ceremony at its Collaboration Hub (CollHub).
