Description
  • This is a new role for our digital bank in the Philippines. The job holder will actively collaborate with our parent company Paymaya Philippines to build a robust credit & fraud risk management infrastructure and define the credit risk management framework for the Digital Bank.
  • The job holder will be responsible for delivering credit risk management strategy- primarily focused on Consumer, MSME/SME segments, while collaborating with other functions such as Product, IT, Operations, Finance/Accounting, Treasury, Legal, Compliance in the bank's set-up.
  • Establish the overall Credit & Fraud management platform- leveraging technology and data. The platform will facilitate a dynamic, data and technology driven credit management program with automated controls embedded as a part of the platform design.
  • Define credit strategies. Establish credit risk appetite and thresholds for the product portfolio

(in partnership with Lending Business Head)

  • Develop a comprehensive process and build credit risk monitoring and control systems for assessing, identifying and reducing credit risk
  • The candidate will be conversant with the Basel framework -especially, Basel II and III and working knowledge of Basel IV requirements.
  • Together with team reports, the candidate will conduct real time industry research to identify and analyze emerging risks and associated trend,
  • Help set up the Collection infrastructure, strategy & policies, org. structure, monitoring and performance management.
  • Draft and develop risk management policies, reviewing and updating it to comply with local/international banking law updates.
  • Develop SOPs for measuring, monitoring, evaluating and mitigating risk exposure of the bank.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years experience in Consumer and MSME/SME Credit with Data Analytics and Technology as the pivot- covering the full credit cycle.
  • Strong Quantitative skills with Credit Scoring, Credit Strategy, Risk/Response experience through credit cycles.
  • Strong Experience in Credit Loss Forecasting
  • Experience in using traditional and alternate data to drive credit strategies.
  • Experience in fast paced consumer lending credit products- proven expertise in setting and executing dynamic champion/Challenger programs.
  • Someone who can see the big picture, yet detailed oriented.
  • A creative problem solver.
  • Have an eye for turning complex problems into robust solutions .
  • Highly collaborative, and can communicate openly and respectfully.Comfortable in fast paced environments, and highly adaptable.
  • Familiarity with mass consumer and SME/MSME segment in Philippines a plus.
  • Experience with a fast paced Fintech and an ability to manage through VUCA ( Volatile Uncertain, Complex, Ambiguous) environment a distinct advantage.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent leadership skills with experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • The ability to manage time and schedules to meet aggressive deadlines and influence through persuasive written and verbal communication.

EXPECTED RESULTS

  • Design and Deliver the Credit Risk Management Platform for the Bank
  • Develop Credit Policy & Strategy for the Consumer & SME/MSME Products
  • Deliver the Credit P&L numbers- NPL, Write-off, ECL.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years Consumer & SME/MSME Credit Experience
  • 5+ years experience in a Lending Fintech a distinct plus
  • Experience in High Velocity, High Volume Mass Consumer Digital- a distinct plus.
  • MBA/Post Graduate in Computer Science/Statistics or similar Quantitative/Technology fields
